ABSN Prerequisites
Prerequisites are an important part of your nursing education; they lay the academic groundwork necessary for you to succeed in your accelerated nursing studies. Most of these courses are available online through Averett University on the same learning management system as the one used for our ABSN nursing theory courses. Thus, you’ll get used to the online learning environment before you begin the ABSN program.

How many of these courses you’ll need to complete depends upon your previous degree or undergraduate academic experience. For example, while individual circumstances may vary, applicants with a Bachelor of Science degree may not need to take as many ABSN prerequisites or general education courses as applicants with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Your admissions advisor can help you determine which, if any, you need to take to qualify for enrollment.
